STAFF BIOS JOANNA LONG My name is Joanna Long, I have been with Dr. Wise since 2000. I love the work I do and the people I work with. I started with Dr. Wise as an assistant. Then when he went into practice for himself I went to front desk. And now I do the insurance and front desk. It gets crazy sometimes but I love what I do. The patients are the best and their parents are awesome. So now about my family and I, which is the best part of me. I have been married since 1989 to a wonderful husband and father. We have 3 great children and they are all very different. Tad who is 19 (born 1985) is my stepson but I consider him one of my kids. I never thought I could love someone with all my heart without giving birth to them. He loves to play the bass guitar and golf when he is not working for his father. He is going to welding school so he can expand his fathers fence company, so he can take over the company. He still has a lot to learn. He will get there one day with the help of God and his family. Lindsey is 14 (born 1990) she is the opposite of Tad in some ways. Their love for their family is the same, but God is another story. Her mission in life is to get her brother saved, which if anyone could it would be her, because she has a strong belief in God. She is a very good student and is taking all the AP classes that she can. She wants to be a Pediatrician when she gets out of school. She loves to help kids so she has not ruled out being a teacher, but she still has time to decide. She is getting her permit this year and is driving me crazy. She cannot wait to drive. She has changed her mind a hundred times on what kind of car she wants. She is trying to get a job at the water park in Denton this summer. Last, but definitely not least, Michelle age 7 (born 1998). She was not expected but definitely loved by everyone she comes in contact with. She is shy, not like her sister. When she gets to know you she will talk your ear off. She loves to read and draw pictures for everyone, including the dog and cat. She is very independent but still loves to sit by me a lot. She loves to play with her cousins and boss them around since she has no one to do that to. She acts like a little mother, which sometimes gets her in trouble a lot. But we could not imagine life without her. We love to do things together, but there is also time for Tracy and I. I like to camp and travel everywhere. The best place we have been was to Hawaii with work. It was a blast and very beautiful, we are planning on going again soon. We have a dog, Goldie that we have had since 1992. She was a stray and was house broken and has been a very good dog. |
