Adulthood (16 and Up)
 Adult orthodontics has become very popular especially with the advent of equipment that is less noticeable and more comfortable. The orthodontist's limitations at this age are mostly related to the absence of any growth. As a result, we can move the teeth to a straighter position, but should there be any major differences in jaw position or alignment, it often becomes necessary to commit the patient to a more complicated treatment regimen than just "braces".  Recently, Invisalign has come onto the scene and is gaining popularity. This is the high-tech option available only to adults with very specific orthodontic needs.
